IMPERSONATION AND FRAUDULENT ACTS

It has come to our attention that fraudsters are passing themselves off as representing or being affiliated with MIT Auto Parts (PTY) Ltd, supplying parts under the name of MIT Auto Parts.

We, MIT Auto Parts (PTY) Ltd will only supply parts to individuals or companies who have undergone the vetting process and qualified for an account. We will not call on you, quote or accept orders via Facebook, or any other form of social media. Orders may only be placed through our official call centre with one of our qualified sales representatives and other authorised channels.

The authorised channels for Quotes/Order are:

No MIT sales personnel can conduct MIT business via their personal cell phones or emails.

PAYMENT CAUTION

Our banking details have and will not change, please verify the banking details supplied on your invoice with our accounts department. We further encourage you to load MIT Auto Parts (PTY) Ltd as a preloaded beneficiary or to make use of the ‘Account Verification Services’ offered by all banking institutions before making any payments to avoid being a victim of any fraudsters.

What to look out for on the fraudulent invoice:
1) Any form of change in layout of delivery notes or Invoice
2) The official MIT Auto Parts logo does not appear
3) (PTY) Ltd, VAT no and Reg No. omitted from the invoice header
4) A cell phone number is provided as primary contact number
5) Invoice sequence does not start with year month – 2**** i.e. 2408-211***
6) Delivery fee being charged
7) Banking details changed

Please be vigilant and proactive in fraud prevention. We do not wish for any of our customers to be affected by these or any other fraudsters and encourage you to report any suspicious incidents related to us or our products immediately.
